Quand Lati m'a contactée pour la première fois en me demandant si j'étais capable de lui peindre un signe "peace" géant et fleuri, je lui ai, bien entendu, répondu que oui. Mais qu'au delà des jolies références pinterest générique, on pouvait imaginer ensemble un projet qui lui ressemble exactement.

Suite à ce premier échange, le projet a pris son temps pour se transformer. Grâce à la patience de Lati, des discussions autour d'un apéro ou l'autre et une jolie connexion entre nous deux, le projet s'est métamorphosé d'un simple signe de paix à un portrait représentant tout ce qui lui est cher : Un amoureux protecteur façon vikings, ses filles en tant que papillon, leurs fleurs préférées, des fleurs fantaisistes, un arbre de vie subtilement caché, de la nature et surtout une dragonne belle, fière et puissante la représentant, elle.
Tous ces éléments se combinent pour donner de multiples lectures à ce magnifique tableau en bois pensée jusqu'à son accrochage en corde adapté à sa déco intérieure.

This painting is very special. More than just a personalized illustration, it was a collaboration. When Lati first contacted me, asking if I could paint her a giant, flowery peace sign, I naturally said yes. But beyond the generic, pretty Pinterest references, I suggested we imagine a project together that truly reflected her.
Following this initial exchange, the project took its time to evolve. Thanks to Lati's patience, conversations over drinks, and a wonderful connection between us, the project transformed from a simple peace sign into a portrait representing everything she holds dear:
a protective Viking-style lover, her daughters as butterflies, their favorite flowers, whimsical blooms, a subtly hidden tree of life, nature, and above all, a beautiful, proud, and powerful dragon representing her.
All these elements combine to offer multiple interpretations of this magnificent wooden artwork, thoughtfully designed down to its rope hanging system perfectly suited to her interior décor.
